Mudher aka Dj Gurps started djing at the age 14,
following musical influences such as Punjabi MC and the
Legendary Bally Sagoo, he grew a passion for music that
was soon to take him to the top....
At 16, Dj Gurps joined the Mix & Blend Roadshow, and
started to dj alongside DJ Rags. Within 6 months he had
picked up and created his own sound and style of music
which appealed to every crowd he performed in front of.
Dj Gurps had set a new trend, mixing urban beats with
the up & coming Desi music that so many people
enjoyed…..
Whilst playing a major part in Mix & Blend and becoming
recognised & respected as one of Londons top djs, Gurps
laid out his future plans, it was there that he decided
to start engineering & producing his own music, Gurps
already a talented Dhol & Dholki Player, became aware of
what different styles of music appealed to the ever
demanding bhangra industry & applyed his experience in
his music & his DJ-ing Abilities.
Now after being in the Asian DJ Curcuit for 10 years and
at the age of 25, Gurps is finally on his way to achieve
what he had set out all those years ago, Now a part of
the Worldwide Award Winning Discoteque Callibar Roadshow,
he has set a mark for others to achieve with his
distinctive style of play that can be heard up & down
the country from the club circuit to private events.
Dj Gurps has played along side some of the industry’s
biggest star’s which include the likes of Punjabi MC,
Jazzy B, Sukshinder Shinda, Aman Hayer, DJ H, Lehmber
Hussainpuri, Raghav, Kray Twinz, Rishi Rich Project &
these are just to name a few…
He has also played alongside established urban acts such
as 112, Sean Paul, Kanye West, Pharrell, Timbaland,
Mims, Chris Brown, & Many Others
Now Working on His Debut Album "Expectations", Dj Gurps
Looks set to cement his position as one of the Countrys
Top DJs and set yet another benchmark for others to
achive.
Fuelled by the passion he holds and by the success of
close friends DJ H & DJ Rags who have themselves made
their mark on the bhangra industry, Gurps plans to take
his DJ-ing to the next level and become one of the
countrys most sought after DJs.
"Expectations" The Debut Album by Dj Gurps is set to be
released in the Early Part of 2009. Boasting 10 tracks
featuring the likes of Kaka Bhaniiwala, Labh Janjua,
Manak E, Billa Bakshi, Sarbjeet Kaur, Jelly Manjeetpuri,
& Many More, Expectations will certinaly live up to its
name.
