Kulvinder Singh Johal -
Mundeh Panjabi
Having
broken records with the smash hit single ‘Johal Boliyan’;
Vip Records are proud to present the debut album by folk
vocalist Kulvinder Singh Johal titled ‘Mundeh Panjabi’.
The 10 track album has been produced by Kaos Productions &
also features three singles by Tru Skool; the producer
behind ‘Johal Boliyan’ which spent an incredible seven weeks
at the top of the BBC Asian Network digital download chart.
With ‘Johal Boliyan’ already a firm fixture for dance floors
across the UK, ‘Mundeh Panjabi’ promises to deliver further
anthems, only adding to the already long list of hit songs
by Kulvinder Singh Johal.
The single ‘Sun Baliyeh’ was given its exclusive first play
on the distinguished Nihal show on BBC Radio 1, with ‘Mundeh
Panjabi’ being premiered by Bobby Friction on the BBC Asian
Network.
The album will be supported by another high quality video
medley for the tracks ‘Mundeh Panjabi’ and ‘Sun Baliyeh’
which will be airing shortly.

Saqi Roadshow - Pariyan
Saqi
Roadshow has been at the forefront of the party DJ scene for
ten years, with each of the team bringing a wealth of talent
and experience through their past musical histories playing
for the likes of Saqi, Pardesi, Achanak, Avtar Maniac and
many others.
2005 saw them release their first album as Saqi Roadshow,
entitled ‘Four of a Kind’ which featured the reproduced
version of the classic party anthem ‘Rail Gaddi’ this
resulted in them signing a deal with one of India's biggest
record labels, T- Series.
The Saqi Roadshow boys, MANJ, AMMA and DEE have been close
friends from a young age and have continued entertaining at
venues across the world including Delhi, Mumbai, Europe and
the annual New Year’s Desert Party in Dubai.
Manj says of the track: “When we play at parties, GIDDHA
tracks always get the crowd going, so when Amma came up with
the melody and Chandigarhs AVTAR KAUNKE penned the lyrics,

second instalment in what is a three part ALTERNATIVE remix
series, from Twin Beat's Debut album 'The Sounds of Punjab'
After the hugely popular and heavily played Dil Vich Tareya
RnB remix, Twin Beats present 'Nain Nashiley' the remix,
featuring the powerful vocals of Bikram Singh.
The Twins describe the remix as an 'electro/disco house
mix', and is set to further showcase the duo's production
capabilities and also proves they are not afraid of
venturing out into territory not normally explored by
Bhangra producers.

2010's Best Newcomer = JK!
Having
successfully picked up the Best Newcomer Award earlier this
year at the UK AMA’s (UK Asian Music Awards), UK born
Panjabi vocalist JK further cemented his reputation
as one of the hottest properties in the UK Asian Music scene
by scooping the ‘Best Newcomer’ award at the first
inaugural Brit Asia Music Awards.
Held at the prestigious Symphony Hall, Birmingham, the Brit
Asia Music Awards saw the biggest names in the UK Asian
Music circuit come together, with JK delivering a memorable
opening performance to kick off the night.
JK put on a scintillating vocal performance, delivering his
now cult anthem ‘Chooteh Laareh’. The crowd were then
treated to a new yet to be named single from his highly
anticipated album, followed up by the song that initiated JK
into the UK Asian Music scene ‘Gabru Punjab Dha’. The
stunning performance was complimented by traditional Bhangra
dancers and urban break dancers, who both equally excelled.
Having successfully opened the night, JK was presented with
the Best Newcomer Award by world renowned urban star Kano,
an award voted directly by the public & JK’s ever growing
fan base.
With fierce competition in the Best Newcomer Category, JK
was up against some of the biggest names in the industry
such as; Jaz Dhami, Mumzy & Jaswinder Daghamia, all three
achieving great success over the past year.

Bhagwantjit - Mohabbat
After his introduction with the debut album, ‘Surajmukhi’,
now comes the follow up release ‘Mohabbat’. The album is a
ten track production which also includes a single remix. The
album also consists of a romantic duet showcasing the fresh
talent by the name of Renu. Highlights include ‘Kinna Pyar
Karan’ and ‘Jee Nai Lagda’.
The album shows a variety of songs for a wide audience, the
sound is more commercial and upbeat in comparison to the
debut. Bhagwanjit’s versatility in singing is evident
throughout.
The man behind the music, Tejwant Kittu, has a back
catalogue of successful albums. He displays his own personal
touch which shines brightly throughout ‘Mohabbat’.
A feature from MC, Christyle provides the album with an
urban edge during his feature on the remix of ‘Jee Nai Lagda’.

Records are proud to present ‘Johal Boliyan’ the first
single to be released from the long awaited debut album by
folk vocalist Kulvinder Singh Johal.
Having teamed up with Sukhjit Singh Olk aka Tru Skool,
Kulvinder Singh Johal has been carefully preparing his debut
solo release. Alongside Tru Skool, who has produced three
singles on the album, Kulvinder Singh Johal worked closely
with the highly rated Kaos Productions, who have produced
seven songs.
‘Johal Boliyan’ also sees the introduction of a UK Born
female vocalist by the name of Raman Aujla who along with JK
is another student of Tru Skool. Currently studying as a Law
Student, Raman Aujla has spent years under the guidance of
Tru Skool preparing meticulously for her first foray into
music. Having teamed up with Kulvinder Singh Johal on ‘Johal
Boliyan’, Raman Aujla is set to leave her own distinct mark
on the scene.
The
single, a pure Panjabi folk duet has been produced by Tru
Skool and features his charismatic hip-hop stamp finely
blended with authentic folk sounds, deriving from the
influences of Kulvinder Singh Johal. The ‘Johal Boliyan’ is
set to deliver another certified anthem from the Derby based
producer, to add to his already large collection of hits.

Gtown
Desi regarded as Scotland’s most unique Urban Asian
collective is comprised of 5 individuals from differing
backgrounds fused together with talents reigning from Djing,
music production, radio hosting and event management.
With combined experience of over 15 years within the club
and roadshow circuit, the team share definitive values with
all focus based on quality as opposed to quantity.
Members include Bobby B, Jay Jagpal, Oz-e, Mr Vin & DJ Gully
with each individual embracing various musical influences
which have assisted in the production value of ‘1134’. From
such genres as Bhangra, Bollywood, RnB, Grime & House, Gtown
Desi have continually catered for audiences within the city
of Glasgow commencing their brand with the opening night of
the UK’s most exclusive night, ‘Secrets’ during early 2008.
Following on, the group have commanded the Scottish Urban
Asian circuit and have revolutionised the Asian nightlife
scene within the country.
