Sahib G
- The Manuscript
Sahib-G
the groundbreaking virtuoso guitarist has developed a
serious career in folk music. A respected composer,
producer, songwriter, who is provocative, heart-wise and has
his own original style has impressed label executives VIP
Records.
Born and bred in London, he is already an acknowledged
guitarist both on the concert platform and in the recording
studio. Sahib G began his music career very early performing
at the early age of 12, starting off with his first string
instrument, the mandolin… "I didn't choose music... it chose
me."
Completely
self-taught and without any type of formal lessons or
training, Sahib-G displayed an uncanny talent for learning,
and by his early teens became a multi-instrumentalist…"It
was strange things would seem to come easily to me, although
I was really most competent on drums and guitar..."
"The Manuscript" is releasing on the 15th June 2009.

Pal D -
Diamond In The Rough
After
6 years spent lurking in the shadows of the Bhangra
industry, Pal D is set to unleash his 2nd studio album this
spring.
2 years in the making, Diamond in the Rough showcases Pal D
as a hypnotic composer, powerful vocalist and logic-defying
sound and mastering engineer.
Also featuring vocals by Lembher Hussainpuri, Surinder
Shinda, Bakshi Billa and Harvinder Bhinda (Golden Star) -
Diamond in the Rough introduces the biggest names in the
game to one who has undoubtedly been the most promising and
anticipated young producer in the UK for over 6 years.
Having
studied Kirtan and Tabla since 1993, Palvinder Singh Dhupar
takes the unusual step of debuting as a Bhangra vocalist on
Diamond in the Rough. These early musical influences - which
form the backbone of all Pal D’s musical endeavours - are
evident throughout the album.
'Diamond In The Rough' is releasing on the
5th June 2009 and is available to

Bakshi
Billa ft Jaskurn Gosal - Nachne Da Mazza
The
foundations for the album “Nachne Da Mazza” were laid at a
small dhaba behind old Mukhtiar’s boot polish superstore,

alongside many of the region’s most prominent singers,
including Sarabjeet Kaur and Babar the Elephant.

Jagtar, he came across two fellow travellers from the
southern land of Australia – Brisbane’s Jaskurn Singh Gosal
and Melbourne’s S.S Johal.
Featuring
8 tracks, produced by Jaskurn Gosal, S.S Johal and Pal D,
and lyrics by Mangi Mahal, Rattu Randhawa and many more,
“Nachne da Mazza” seeks to provide the audience with a taste
of Australian masala.

Introducing JK
JK,
real name Jatinder was born and raised in Derby. JK began
training to be a vocalist under the tuition of Sukhjit Singh
Olk, aka Tru-Skool,
Coming from a family oriented background, JK’s traditional
upbringing in a Panjabi household enabled him to maintain a
deep connection with his roots and have the ability to speak
impeccable Panjabi - a rare quality in most UK born Panjabi's and many vocalists alike. JK in a number of cases
has been mistaken for being born and raised in Panjab.
Being part of a close circle of students/friends, JK also
learns the Harmonium and has been doing so under the
direction of Tru-Skool since 2000. Although these days it
may sound cliché, JK's influences include the greats such as
Kuldip Manak, Surinder Shinda, Sardool Sikander, Chamkila
and Mohd. Saddiq.
JK aspires to progress in this field to sing like his UK
inspirations such as Jazzy B, Bhinda Jatt, Avtar Maniac,
Meshi, Balwinder Safri and Dippa Dosanjh, the quality of
JK's vocals demonstrate this.
